The fear scent that rolled off of her alpha was almost unbearable. Kitsune remained calm although she knew that she had said the wrong thing. Simon was young and very small. Very, very small. If he was discovered or if a comrade was too rough... Kitsune nodded, "You're right, he's much too young and small. I've grown fond of the little guy..."
Kitsune left it at that and sifted through other options, seeing who came to mind. The pack was so small. For such dominant creatures, the Pure Bloods had a lack of members. Kitsune paused for a moment and she shuddered. She could do it. Kitsune was good enough at faking, she practiced it often, and she surely was loyal. But if she left, the pack might get used to being without her. Kitsune was torn, she wanted to help her pack but she had waited in exile too long to jeopardize her chance at power. The akita could here the rest of the pack, she was running out of time. Finally, Kitune barked softly, "I could do it, I could spy on them. I've scented my breed in their pack from the borders, so they might be more friendly to another akita."
Kitsune cleverly avoided mentioning that she was good at deceiving people and continued to walk a little bit slower than her alpha. She finally pointed out, "If not me, who else? Some of the others are not fit enough to leave, like Harlequin."

[/b] He asked the young femme thoughtfully. Kitsune... well it would be a good chance to show herself to be worthy as a Second Alpha, though he was torn between her and Tyrant. If Kitsune could do this than she could become invaluable to him, having seen the inside of the pack. She could provide him with a lot of extra information about the wolves and the united pack as well, which could be dire information at a later date. He nodded slowly. She was right. They were fond of her kind there, her akita blood being so akin to that of a wolf-- and yet so different. She would fit in much better than Simon as well. chase's ears twitched back in thought as they approached the meeting place. She could give reports every third sun. Chase would send runners to a specific meeting place to ferry messages back and forth. It could work. It would have to work. In the meantime he would have to devise another plan, if the new alliance was indeed true and they were going to rebel against the 'Bloods. The Fangs would be a good place to hide out for the infirm and those too young, too old or who are expecting pups to hide out safely until the fighting was over. But... he didn't know if they would be able to even stay within their own territory. Are the other packs going for all out conquering or just a warning battle to break their spirits. If the latter, then Chase had a little less to worry about. But he did not know. Thats what Kitsune was for. "Yes. Yes, it will be you then." he sped and turned so as to block Kitsunes path. His eyes and tail still as he spoke in a deep, rolling growl. "You'll need to be quick, and you will need to be cunning. If they discover you, know that we will not be able to help you until, or if, you make it back home. You could be killed. This is a dangerous mission." he paused and sized her up for a moment. He liked what he saw. "But, I believe you are capable. I will send runners to a chosen location every third sun zenith, and you will give them a detailed report on what you have learned." he breathed out carefully, then in again, in detailed thought. "You will need to leave as soon as the meeting is over, and lose your pack scent before you even think about approaching the United. Then, you will tell them that you are a loner who is looking to join the pack. They may ask you more questions, so you will need to create a more detailed history about your new persona, but stick to your story or the plan will fall through. While you are there you will be known as Keira. Do you understand your mission, Ensign? "[/blockquote][/size][/ul]

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=width,500,true][atrb=background,http://i1017.photobucket.com/albums/af292/KillerxZombie/Backgrounds/blackk.jpg] ((This is the first table I've ever made... so it's bad but I wanted to try it out. I loved your table Tessa, I just wanted to try out this one.))
Kitsune was a little surprised when her alpha turned around and growled to her urgently. She watched with pale yellow orbs, listening as he explained her mission. Kitsune narrowed them, her mind already beginning to form a history. When her alpha finished she nodded, a small, devious smile forming on her face from the thought of pretending to be a polite little doggie.
"I understand Alpha Chase, and I won't fail you. I just hope those mutts will fall for a little sob story." Yes. Kitsune thought. The United Pack will have no idea what hit them.
Her story was already complete in her head. As Chase had said, her name would be Keira, and she would be a loner. She was born as a loner, born in a different place near the beach. One stormy night Keira was swept away into the ocean and washed up on the shore. This would explain the smell of ocean that was almost impossible to remove from her fur from living near the beach. Keira then wandered the island, and was driven into United Pack territory by the Pure Bloods, just in case a little of her normal scent lingered on her. They would probably take her in, and suspicions could be lowered that way. She smiled again and nodded to Chase before trotting into camp, seating herself for the meeting. |

I just can't win... The words were heard, and a nod was given. The words would soon have followed, if not interrupted by the wretched voice of some fool who decided to leap in at this most inconvenient point in her conversation. A soft growl rumbled in her throat marking the point in time were the unfamiliar voice had begun irritating her, which was right near the beginning. Quin was the rather unfriendly type, one who'm if you managed to get passed her disliking you and managed to make her like you, it was an ongoing battle not to test her patience. Auds twitched when Harle's lord spoke again but seemed uninterested in what words passed the peasants lips. Truth be told it was her first words, so out of place, they were the words of a self proclaimed leader that turned her off to the voice. Quin would not be talked down to by this fae, regardless of the lord's wishes. This said, she would not openly speak against the femme, she was a little too polite at times, and knew her place well. It seemed quite rude and unnecessary not to mention not quite the right time.
Much was said in her time of silence and she was in no mood for a conversation involving the lower ranks in a discussion meant for the alpha. Quin felt her concerns were best left between her and her lord, whether he wanted to concern others, well it was his business and right. Most of all she in her position was quite uninterested in the opinions of hard-headed fools, when it was not her place to decide. Of course this was a bit hypocritical of her, as in this particular situation her blood was boiling beneath her soft pink skin and her body shook slightly with irritation. Their conversation did not possess an ounce of logic. Icy orb rolled in there sockets before her jaws parted."You believe they will trust so quickly?" A short pause allowed her to take a much needed breath and continue on in a more calm manner."Who knows perhaps we are not the only ones who talk too much." More calm was not at all calm, but she felt that it was unwise to speak so openly about any plan with a mere member. This caused her to question he alpha's intelligence but still she kept any doubt hidden. Harlequin did not think that she could do any better amongst the wolves, her hate was pure and each step she took, she made it clear that they were not welcome."I will do as you please lord, but I should get on wit my previous duties if you have nothing new for me." The bright pelted fae began to turn away, empty eyes slowly turning from her packmates to the waters that lapped against the warm dry Earth. Perhaps she was being too harsh, too negative, but she was paranoid. Slowly her golden crown turned to face her peer. "Goodluck." The word was spoken through her teeth, as sincere as this particular canine could manage and then she turned away again waiting to disappear. That was, of course if Chase had nothing more to say.
For losing.

((Kat, you might want to change Kitsunes story. The canines on the Isles don't know anything about the humans.))

[/b] he challenged, though more out of curiosity than anything. What evidence did she have that the United would disbelieve Kitsunes plot? He lifted his muzzle and stared at her past his painfully black nose. "Then... what to you propose we do? Have you any better suggestions because, if so, do tell."He ignored the obviously bad blood between the two femmes. That could wait. ((sorry my post sucks >.<)) [/blockquote] [/size][/ul]

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=width,500,true][atrb=background,http://i1017.photobucket.com/albums/af292/KillerxZombie/Backgrounds/blackk.jpg] Kitsune watched with obvious distaste as Quin questioned their plan. What else were they supposed to do? Wait for those mutts and wolves to sneak up on them and spill unnecessary blood? She hated the idea of not going and being a part of the world that was going on around her, but Kitsune remained polite and more or less listened to any new ideas her fellow Ensign had to offer. Dark auds swiveled in Quin's direction, then to the brilliantly white alpha. She watched and listened, yellow eyes burning into their fur.
"Goodluck." Quin directed her words towards the dark femme this time and Kitsune's mind raced back to full attention. She could feel the insincerity that rolled off of the Ensign in waves even though her voice dripped with good tidings. Kitsune ignored the dishonesty the words were filled with and managed another sweet-ish smile. She nodded, her white teeth flashing, and replied, "Thank you, although I need more than luck. If I have any chance I am going to have to be very convincing, which I can do myself."
Kitsune didn't mean to snap, but she was growing impatient of all the talking. They needed to do something. After pacing back and forth several times in impatience, Kitsune finally growled, "If you don't mind me saying, I am sure further discussion of this topic should be during the pack meeting. It will allow all of our members to take part and voice their opinions. Whether you choose to or not, I am departing to camp. I would like to be in the company of my pack mates for a little longer before the meeting."
With that, Kitsune gave Chase deep nod and addressed Harlequin briefly with her eyes before turning and trotting towards the sound of dogs.

Hate me so you can finally... Quin had to admit she was torn. Above all else, even her dislike for Kitsune, Quin wanted what was best for the pack. Sure Chase was doing just fine but Quin had been doing just fine too before the tragedy. Everyone knew that they would need as many bodies defending the lands as they could get, if they discovered Kistune and killed her before she got the information Chase needed... Quin blinked the thoughts from her head, of course she'd be glad to be rid of the yapping and the eyes, always on her in such a disrespectful manner. The thought of sending one of their own there, no matter how much she disliked the one going, it didn't sit well. Her bi-coloured body sifted uncomfortably but she remained silent.
"You think they will not, Harlequin?"
Dark rims narrowed and her eyes darkened as the shadow of her lashes was cast over them. What was she thinking?"More than anything I want to make them suffer, but it's too soon. We would be throwing away precious lives, everything I stand for." There was a battle in her head, she wanted revenge for the innocent lives lost before, not waste more lives here. She wanted to crush them one at a time, not fight them."What are they doing, exactly? Forming an alliance to do what? Kill us or protect themselves?" Even Quin didn't know where she was going with this. She turned her body back to face Chase, her attention was on him fully now and she ignored Kitsune the best she could. She felt an anger well-up with in her and she felt an urge to attack the femme but this other 'worry' was over powering."I-I... Lord, these dogs and wolves, they are cowards and with nothing to do but cooperate with eachother how long will their alliance last? We must focus on our lives. Our children our future. There is time for revenge and it is not now." Sapphire eyes flicked from Chase to Kistune, so full of herself. There was time to prepare, Quin knew just what Kistune needed and she'd give it to her, but now was too soon.
See what's good for you. [Mine is bad too. Sorry T_T]

[/b] he began in a deep, rolling voice. "It is not we who are out for revenge." he lowered his voice, so only she could hear. "If we can prepare ourselves, even if an alliance is purely preposterous, then our children, our pups, will be safe. If we can do this, if we know what to expect, our pack will live. If we- if we underestimate our enemies and continue our lives as if we expect nothing to happen..." he trailed off, then continued, "Ensign, I would not be very surprised if these wolves were coming to kill us. Which is exactly why I am taking these precautions. That is what they are: merely precautions."He let his gaze linger on her for a moment, hard and cold and unforgiving. He softened it, "Your job whilst Ensign Kitsune is spying for us, is to help me organize a safe haven for the pack and all those too young to fight. Will you accept this, Ensign?"[/blockquote] [/size][/ul]

While I was busy waging wars with myself... Chase's reaction to Kitsune came as a surprise, auds flattened against her copper crown. Quin was use to having enemies, use to making them, but the femme liked to keep that as secret as possible. It was clear that plan was blown, the already frustrated femme could only watch as she was yanked from her comfort zone and thrown into the open. Dark eyes rested on her own paws, a another heavy sigh filled the silence that in her own mind seemed to last a lifetime.
"It is not we who are out for revenge."
She hadn't realized she had mentioned revenge. Had her face not been covered in the milky white fur it would probably be easy to see the blood rush to her face. She could feel it growing warmer as the skin beneath her fur darkened. Shameful eyes searched the ground silently as she listened and tried to organize her thoughts. What was it that she was thinking? Why could she not explain what she meant? Auds flicked forward again when something Chase said caught her attention.
"help me organize a safe haven for the pack and all those too young to fight. Will you accept this, Ensign?"
Eyes wandered back up slowly to stare at him with a blank sort of stare. Soon it turned irritated, he spoke as if she had a choice, as if the uneasy feeling would just disappear if she washed her paws of the issue."I'm always behind you, lord, if you believe it is what is right I will try and believe it too." The words flowed slowly and calmly now, her muscles began to relax and she tried to banish the doubt from her mind. Once again she placed her rump in the warm sunlit sand allowing her gaze to grow distant again, as if she were looking through Chase."Speak and it will be so." She said in a soft voice in her usual tone. It took some convincing but she finally told herself he was right, though still she had to be ready for him to fail as much as she hated the thought. She had to be ready to pick up more shattered pieces of her life and carry on. Part of her didn't even expect to live through this choas, yet she was unafraid of her fate. The other part thought that she should be thankful, glad that he listened and showed he cared, but thanking was not her thing. It would take days of rehearsal for she would be able say it, not out of fear, but to work up enough sincerity to really mean the words she spoke. It would come when he least expected it.
You were trying to stop the fight.

[/b] The white brute flicked his auds backwards and he reached out with his nose to give her an almost apologetic sniff. He didn't want her to feel bad about talking to him. His tail began to wag a little now, and he padded forward on tired paws. " Come, ensign, our mission awaits us. The safety of our pack will depend on your ability to help evacuate them at any notice." [/ul][/blockquote][/size]
