Hail's mind wasn't wandering, yet her eyes held a glaze to them. It was like she was looking off into space. She wasn't listening to her fellow pack mates as they chatted, and she certainly did not eavesdrop on Dusk and Shadow's private meeting. She was actually curious of as why Shadow was so excited. Nonetheless, she kept her ears focused on her breathing. It was slow and steady, keeping a calm pace.
She reflected over the past events that had happened recently. Dusk had announced that the United pack and Hu'li might just have an alliance. Hail didn't mind that. Next, Dusk had wanted to talk with each and every wolf separately. Hail hadn't cared, either. But, it was when Fenrir all but whined out his confusion that she came back to her senses. However, after watching everyone's lack of attention, she trotted over to him, making sure not to make too much noise.
"Nothing is wrong," she whispered to him, "it is just the discussion of an alliance between two packs." She watched him for a moment before turning around and sitting a little farther from where she had explained.
Hail wasn't exactly sure why she explained the things they were talking about. Perhaps it was because Fenrir was still young and Hail felt like he was left out. However, it didn't matter much.
Her ears perked as Dusk called for her. Without a sound, she stood and walked toward the wolf. "Yes, Alpha?"

This whole thing just seemed wrong. Yes, an alliance would strength the pack, but then again, why did they need to be any stronger? Sure the Purebloods were never something he would like to share the island with, but it wasn't like they were waging war or anything. For the time being, every pack just seemed to be minding its own business. The occasion growl at the boarder maybe, and strong territorial marks, but nothing more. Perhaps this meant something?
An uneasy feeling swept over Ezekiel as he thought of that. Was this some was of Dusk telling them that war was about to break out? 'No... If that were ever to happen, Dusk would just out and tell us,' he thought to himself, that uneasiness slowly starting to leave him. Maybe he should just focus on the good things about this. The United Pack were not snooty dogs, at least he didn't think. True to say he had only ever encountered one member, but the canine he met seemed a little off his rocker. It wouldn't be right to judge a whole pack off one member. But this other pack, it shared the same beliefs, right? He hoped so. He wasn't in the mood to deal with thick headed barbarians that held no beliefs. He sat down, still standing after his outburst earlier. Slowly his dark furred tail swished around his front paws, orange eyes looking over at Artemis as she laid down beside him. A light snort came from him as he listened to her words. "Those mutts should be thankful to want us on their side." He was still being stubborn about accepting the fact that this alliance will happen. he just really didn't want to be around canines that had Pure Blood genes running threw their veins. Ezekiel couldn't help but let a small sigh escape his maw. His orange colored eyes slowly starting to leave the wolf next to him and stare at the trees, mind again starting to wander off. He was brought back quickly when he herd a soft voice. Turning his head, he looked over at Fenrir, an almost annoyed look on his face. He stayed quite while Hail spoke to him, an ear twitching back. "It seems we are merging over with the United Pack," he said with a calm voice. Eyes stayed on the younger male for a moment, about to comment on something, but held it back. A curious spark seemed to hit him as Hail was called over to talk to Dusk. his eyes followed over as she walked, but then looked away and back at the trees. He felt like he was invading their privacy if he were to stare over at them, even if they were out of ear shot. Still, he would like to know what they were talking about. he might be slightly nosy, but come on, everyone was probably curious to hear what Dusk had to say to the others. Made him suddenly wonder what she was going to say to him. Nothing bad he hoped. [/blockquote]
